FAQ

What will happen when I call?   A trained volunteer will talk with you, giving you the time and space to voice your concerns. You will then be supported while making a decision as to what to do next.

Can I remain anonymous?  Yes, it is up to you whether you disclose your identity or not.

If I call again will I speak to the same listener?  Not necessarily, our volunteers work on a rota basis.

What if you can’t help me?  If appropriate we can provide you with contact details of other sources of help to meet your specific needs.

Will my emails be answered by the same person?  No. Although we reply to emails daily, our volunteers work in rotas.

Are my calls and emails confidential?  All calls and e-mails are confidential to Crossline Scotland unless we have your informed consent or receive a court order to pass information on.

Note: Communications, which include information on acts of terrorism or bomb warnings, will not be regarded as confidential. Relevant information may also be passed on if our volunteers are attacked or threatened, or someone deliberately prevents our service from being delivered to others.
